Weathering
Objective: This test involves exposing samples to repeated cycles of artificial UV light, heat, and moisture.  It is called “accelerated” weathering testing because the intensity of the exposure is far greater than real-time environmental exposure.  This is designed to mimic years of sun and rain on a more rapid time.  Accelerated testing has become common practice for RV suppliers and other industries such as automotive and house paint.
